Olivia Price
Since 2013
Olivia Price was born and raised in Frederick, MD where she began her dance training with the Mid Maryland Performing Arts Center (MMPAC) at the age of 3. While at MMPAC, she trained in a variety of styles, including ballet, jazz, modern, tap, and musical theater and was a member of MMPAC’s pre-professional student dance company, FX.
She attended Dickinson College where she studied dance under Artistic Directors Sarah Skaggs and Dina Verley-Christophe. As an undergraduate student, she had the pleasure of working and dancing with incredible instructors from the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Paula Aarons, Kristin Pontz, and Cori Kresge of Merce Cunningham Dance Company. She performed and choreographed for Dickinson’s repertory company, Dance Theater Group, and was cast in a piece showcased at the American College Dance Festival by choreographer Nicholas Leichter of Nicholas Leichter Dance.
Olivia returned to the Mid Maryland Performing Arts Center as a dance instructor in 2013 and is currently directing MMPAC’s pre-professional dance company, FX. In addition to teaching at MMPAC, she participates in their growing international ambassador program. Most recently, she accompanied a group of students to Bermuda to dance with the In Motion School of Dance at their summer intensive. Outside of the studio, Olivia volunteers teaching dance to students and families within the community in an effort to promote healthier living habits.
